Anastomosis Course
The Anastomosis Course enhances skills in intestinal surgery, particularly techniques for creating intestinal connections (anastomoses). Participants practice on real tissue models to enhance their technical competence.
Learning Objectives
- Learning anastomosis techniques for small intestine (hand-sewn and stapled)
- Understanding the physiological and pathological principles of intestinal anastomoses
- Practicing safe and effective anastomosis on real tissue models to improve patient safety
- NEW: Laparoscopic vessel management using Harmonic Ultracision and bleeding control with suturing on a pulsating organ (kidney).
Target group: Surgical residents with an interest in visceral surgery
