Module 1 – Suturing Course:
The Suturing Course offers a comprehensive introduction to surgical knotting as well as basic and advanced suturing techniques. Participants learn under professional guidance how to effectively close wounds, considering aesthetic and functional aspects.
Learning Objectives:
- Mastery of surgical knotting and various suturing techniques
- Understanding the selection of appropriate suture materials
- Optimization of wound healing and minimization of scar formation
Module 2 – Minor Surgery Course:
This course focuses on minor surgical procedures often needed in general medicine and emergency care (Abscess Incision, Atheroma Excision, Varicose Vein Ligation…). Participants develop skills that can be directly applied in practice.
Learning Objectives:
- Performing simple surgical procedures under local anesthesia
- Management of common minor surgical emergencies
- Safe handling of surgical instruments
Module 3 – Anastomosis Course:
The Anastomosis Course enhances skills in intestinal surgery, particularly techniques for creating intestinal connections (anastomoses). Participants practice on real tissue models to enhance their technical competence.
Learning Objectives:
- Learning hand-sewn and stapled anastomosis techniques for small bowel anastomoses (laparoscopic and conventional jejunojejunostomy).
- Understanding the physiological and pathological basics of intestinal connections
- Practical application of the learned techniques to enhance patient safety
These courses are specifically designed to improve surgical skills in a structured and supportive environment. Each course is carefully planned to ensure that participants gain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience. The Suturing Course is ideal for medical students and young doctors looking to enhance their skills in wound care and suturing techniques. The Minor Surgery Course focuses on applications that are particularly important in emergency rooms and general practices, teaching techniques that can be directly implemented in these settings.
